Bangalore: Syngene International, the custom research subsidiary of Bangalore-based biopharmaceutical company Biocon Ltd, has entered into a discovery and development collaboration with Endo Pharmaceuticals of the United States to develop biological therapeutic molecules against cancer.

Under the agreement, Endo will retain all rights to the molecules developed, while Syngene International will receive research fees, milestone payments and success fees from Endo. Endo Pharmaceuticals is a specialty pharmaceutical company in pain management. The company is engaged in the research, development, manufacturing, marketing and sales of branded and generic pharmaceutical products used primarily to treat and manage pain.
